We were quartered in the Anglesea barracks. India was looming before us. It was our last summer in England, and we were bent on having a good time. We gave a big ball, and started a regimental yacht. None of us knew much about sailing, but we had good fun, and nobody was drowned. We had some adven- tures, though.
