A huge box of rags stood under one table, ready to wipe clean everything used to apply paint to picture, not just brushes and knives, but fingers, palms, nails, wrists, anything which took his fancy.

I've just read three successive Francis books in which the hero had his shoulder blade broken. It shows a definite unevenness of imagination, some of which i excellet and others mere repititionWrite Review:
