And, most important of all, these will be continued for a number of seasons. Foj to obtain reliable information we must have the average results for a number of years. Therefore, if the duty of water is too great, the sooner the fact is demonstrat...ed the better. If the duty is- correct and we must merely change our methods to be able to get maximum results. This fact can be learned none too soon. As I have said before, I do not profess to be in a position to express an opinion as to whether the duty of water should be changed, but I will say most emphatically that we are woefully lacking in data along these lines, and the sooner information is gathered the sooner will we be in a position to avoid much misunderstanding and possibly material loss when the time comes for the water to be carefully measured out to each farmer.
