There are one thousand gilded images, five feet in height, in tiers above each other, and on them and in their hands smaller figures, which make up the full number of 33, 333. It is a remarkable collection.
A shareholders' meeting was being held in the hotel we stayed at, when those who attended were provided with luncheon and who carried away with them what they had not eaten, in paper.
