During August still engaged on Parsed VON krafft's journal. 89 1 Aug. Sund. Ln the forenoon I again had a strong attack of fever, so I left the redoubt and went home.
I lay down feeling very weak. My uncertain destiny forced many silent tears from my eyes. I returned to duty in the afternoon, though feeling very weak.
2 Aug. Mond. In the morning I stayed from work and took an emetic which was quite effective, driving off much gall ; but not feeling well all day I remained home and did not do an...y work. The detachments in the redoubts had been strengthened, since the army had returned ; but they were relieved daily, as before.
For the redoubt-work the Leib Regiment; Landgraf; Prinz Karl ; Donop and Bose gave each 36 men and I Sub-officer a day — all together each day, after the tour, I Captain and i Subaltern.
English : the 44* and 57* regiments. The 57'.'? gave 35 men and i Sub-officer, being stronger than the 44'"? regiment. The 44* gave 25 men and i Sub- officer.
3 Aug. Tues. This morning I went to the redoubt, but had to return very soon, because I felt sick again, 4 Aug.
