Wayne, JOURNAL OF THE SENATE. 361 The Speaker laid before the Senate, a letter, of which the following is a copy, to wit : To the Honorable the Speaker of the Senate, Sir, The commissioners appointed by the Legislature, for the collection of certain debts due to this Common- wealth, respectfully represent to the Senate, that some difficulty has occurred in negotiating compromises of adverse claims aa^ainst the state's liens, which the com- missioners conceive to be very proper cases for accom- modation.
