The first officers of the school were: Samuel Bringhurst, superin- tendent; William Parker, first assistant; W. 0. Newbold, second assist- ant; and A. M. Palmer, secretary. October 30, 1899, Second Assist- ant Superintendent Newbold was succeeded by Walter R.
