To quickly assess the difficulty of the text, read a short excerpt:
That was the weirdest dream! She had been attacked and Cebat had saved her. Laughing to herself over her imagination, she rolled and opened her eyes. She barely held back a scream. All around her bed were Kniam, Kneus, Knollig, Knaleg, Ailech, Asteen and Thian. She swung her gaze from man to man, taking in their solemn faces. “It wasn’t a dream?” Amber choked out. Panic set in instantly, making her heart race. Kneus stepped toward the bed, “We just wanted to make sure you were healed. We had to ...see for ourselves when you woke up. We will leave now.” The other council members nodded agreement, murmuring “get wells’ and “feel better soon” and “we all care about you.” Amber smiled weakly at them, waiting for the room to clear. When it was just her and Kniam he sat on the edge of the bed. “How are you feeling?” She thought about his question for a second, taking in her condition. She was feeling great actually. She didn’t have any aches or pains. In fact even her female cramps were gone.
