The re- sults are horrifying, but the primary cause is very simple. The in- herent right of a whole people to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness is being violated.
Japan has been relentless in her oppression. Koreans have no vote and no voice in their own government. Yet they must pay taxes at a rate twelve times as great as it was when Japan took possession of governmental affairs.
