These Com- mittees are organs of mediation between the Workingmen's Agents and the Mine Administra- tions in the event of disputes, they inform the mine managers of any evils to be redressed in connection with the efficiency and safety of la- bour and finally superintend the food supply of the workmen.
The members of the Mining Committees are paid from the Mine Administration funds, in ac- cordance with their average daily wages.
