He is thoroughly fit for power. Then, if we must be beaten, S is the best possible man to be beaten with. It won't hurt the party much, and won't hurt him at all.
The first point is the great one for a nominating Convention. You know more about that than I can. If you went in for him he could l)e nomi- nated. Could he be elected ?
