There were in the crowd several of the 1 2th Lancers, and he saw these distinctly draw their swords, brandish them in the air, and voci- ferate ' down with the Papists,' ' to hell with the Pope,' ' to hell with Popish defenders,' ' the Pope in a pillory in hell, and the devil pelt- ing O' Council at him,' 'to hell with O' Gorman,' &c.
