Your letters to Cardinal B6 have done good. He has come round, and is in a good humour -vvith you ; but you know he is not a man to be trusted. As for myself, during the whole of the last afiair, I have been on good terms with him ; and we had only one little spar, when I told him after the death of the Cardinal that you were the man to succeed him.
