Still, she persisted. “But—.” The mage unwrapped a small box. Fruit filled pastries, golden brown and plump, lay nestled among ripe strawberries, melons, and grapes. Distracted, Carly closed her mouth. “Help yourself. Five minutes isn’t going to hurt anything.”
