He showed no signs of feeling or conviction, and was cold and appar- ently indifferent, but he said he would go for- ward on our word as an honest man desiring the truth. After he had knelt a few minutes at the altar, he rose, turned to the audience and said: "I have ten times the faith I had when I came here," and business-like he knelt and continued to pray.
