The whole ceremony had sickened Ghian to his stomach, and despite the immutable bond he had with his beast, he found its habits deplorable. Following the opulence of his sojourn in Nebir, his return to the city of Vedra earlier that day had come as a welcome antidote. Nevertheless he had, rather disturbingly, found tonight’s rituals particularly nauseating.
