Shall we disown, violate, towards Him alone that right of property which reason and justice conse- crate in human society ? Tlie right qfredemptwn. But what are we with regard to Jesus Christ? We are the price of all His wealth, the price o...f all His sufferings, the price of His blood and His death : " Know you not that you are not your own? For you are bought with a gre;it price" (1 Cor. vi. 19, 20). The right of our vows and promises. What more sacred than an oath dic- tated by gratitude and justice, sworn in the fiillness of liberty and reflection, renewed so often and so solemnly in the face of heaven and earth ?
