B. LANDS Purchase of Lands Reg. L-1. The Act of the General Assembly approved by the Governor, March 19, 1912, provides (Sec. 5, 6, Chap. 133, pp. 531-2, Acts, 1912), that the State Forest Board shall have the power to pur- chase lands in the name of the State for forest reserves and accept gifts of land or money to the State for forestry purposes. The examination shall determine the suitability of the particular tract involved for forest reserve purposes and the avail- ability and suitability of adjacent lands for like purposes. The result of the examination shall be embodied in the form of a written report, accompanied by a map which shall be submitted to the State Board of Forestry for their consideration.
