It was as if he’d been turned into a pod person and this guy was always in a good mood. “I even tried to tell him we were having liver and onions for dinner, and all he did was smile and kiss me on the for...ehead. “Asked what?” They were in her house and Holly got up to get them all some cookies and tea. When they were younger, Emma would only eat chocolate chips, and Holly wondered if she’d broadened her taste buds since then.
