What reading level is Measuring Neighborhood Confidence book?
To quickly assess the difficulty of the text, read a short excerpt:
RECENT BUYERS Recent buyers who had purchased homes in the study areas between June 1, 1977 and May 31, 1978 were identified from listings in the real estate paper Banker and Tradesman . As in the first round, it was necessary to discover which of the buyers were owner-occupants, and which were not occupying the property they had purchased. Since the annual municipal list of residents was not yet available for such recent purchases, we used tele- phone listings to determine owner occupancy. Aft...er the resident homeowners were identified in this fashion, they were contacted in order, from the top of the list moving down. The difficulties in contacting people in both rounds of interviews led to a strategy of interviewing anyone who was available, contactable, and willing to talk to us for such a long period of time. In addition to those who had purchased homes after June 1977, some recent buyers who had been interviewed in the first round and who had said they were willing to talk further were contacted.
