This type of atmospheric diffusion modelling has been accepted by the Environmental Protection Agency as an appropriate tool for determining impact of var-
...ious contaminant sources. Details of the model used in this analysis are presented in Appendix D.
The analysis was done for both peak load and 50% of peak load oper- ating conditions since for some downwind locations a lower load may pro- duce higher ambient concentration due to a lower plume rise which may offset the decrease in emissions. Emissions and exit velocity during these conditions are as follows: Load Contaminant Emission Rate Exit Velocity SO2 525 Ibs/hr peak NO^ 876 Ibs/hr 60 fps particulates 54 Ibs/hr 50% of peak NO 2 particulates 263 Ibs/hr 438 Ibs/hr 27 Ibs/hr 30 fps Ground Level Concentrations The following discussion is a presentation of the contributions to ambient air quality from the proposed project.
