48 W. P., set. 11, Tubercular famUy historr. Was ad- mitted into hospital under Mr. Boyd in May, 1890, with sijpxs of tubercular perito- nitis and a history of wasting of 3 months' dtiration. On May 31st Mr. Boyd opened the abdomen and found a tubercular mass in the sub-peri- toneal tissue, matted intestines studded with miliary tuber, eles, and 9 pints of turbid fluid in peritoneal cavity. Hard masses were also felt in the pelvis. Cavity washed ...out with warm water, and 9 drachms of iodoform and glyce- rine emulsion injected, wound stitched up and healed by first in- tentiou. Patient s^nt to oonvales- eent home in July much improved.
B«admitted in October, the sear having opened at the lower part A quantity of caseous material was removed from the subperitoneal tissue. This wound healed, but broke down again about the end of November Condition before ii^ection.
A few crepitations at right apex in front.
No other phvsical signs. Has occasional attacks of aodominal pain, headadie and vomiting.
