Nevertheless, I did solemnly enjoin it upon those who believed it right, in the sight of God, for them to fight for their own liberty, or for the liberty of a white brother ; I did enjoin it upon them, if it should seem necessary, to fight for the rescue of any black man from the hor rors of a return into slavery.
