Usually massive, compact, dis...seminated, crusts, or bands. Conchoidal fracture. Hardness 2. 5 to 3. Specific gravity 5. 8. Metallic adamantine luster. Dark red to lead gray in color; thin splin- ters in transmitted light are deep red. Cherry to purple red streak. Ag 6 Sb 2 S 6, usually contains a little arsenic. Occurrence similar to that of proustite but more abundant. Found in veins with other silver ores, calcite, and galena.
