What reading level is Montana Outdoors Vol 11 No 1 Jan/feb 1980 book?
To quickly assess the difficulty of the text, read a short excerpt:

the universe would be incomplete without man; but it would also be incomplete without the smallest transmicroscopic creature that dwells beyond our conceitful eyes and knowledge." We share this world with a multitude of creatures. The larger, more familiar inhabitants have common names, like robin or ponderosa pine. But the vast majority of life forms on earth are known only by their Latin or scientific names and only to a small handful of specialists. They have no defenders, no laws or regulat...ions or groups organized to protect them. They have no lobbyists in Washington or Helena, no special teams to study them, no governmental agencies charged with managing and perpetuating their existence.
At a time when we are probing the mysteries of distant planets, it is ironic that we know so little about life on our own. We are apparently complacent in our knowledge of a few showpieces, while ignorant of the status of whole groups of lesser — though perhaps more functional — organisms. How many small and unprotest- ing creatures have we bulldozed, draglined, blasted, drained, flooded or poisoned into oblivion?
