Aaron and I never got to go antelope hunting again, but a few years ago his mom and I went. We camped out in a tent and Carol and I shared the memo- ries I had of Aaron and our trip. We hunted on a block management area — a place where the... game department and the landowner have worked together to open land to public hunting.
I was able to get within 100 yards of nice buck and make a good shot. As I walked up to the antelope and saw what a beautiful animal he was, my thoughts returned to my son and how I wished that this was his buck and that we were slapping each other on the back and enjoying the moment together. Any- way, son, if you can read this, this buck is for you. Thanks for the memories — I sure miss and love you.
I didn't realize until we went through a game check station that I should have the buck scored.
