A reaction in allergic persons will occur within five to 30 minutes and will be shown by welt- ing or a more severe skin reaction at the site of the skin test. In general, the shorter the interval between in- jection and the beginning of the skin reaction, the greater the sensitivity. Completely immobilize the part of the body that has been bitten. 3. Transport immediately to medical help. If medical aid is more than 4 hours away or the envenomation appears to be catastrophic 1.
