Managers are fully aware that facial make-up is a marvelous aid. By its intelligent use a complete change in appearance is possible. It is a wonderful disguise. There are other ways, too, classed under the sub- ject of "make-up, " by which a small or large physique can be changed to suit the character. A striking physique or a bent withered figure is at- tained by skillful padding and costuming.
