" Lo...ok here, " said he, " I ve a complaint to make. These al leys are not true. " And he dropped another ball in the center that raised the proprietor an inch or two off his feet. " See, " he continued, "that curved to the left into the gutter. Now watch this one. " And he dropped another, which, too, failed to reach the pins. " That turned to the right. This is no place for us to bowl. We ll get out of here. " Needless to add that the proprietor interposed no objection. "Fhricht!" he exclaimed as we passed out and up the stairs.
