FRIGATE " CONGRESS " evening. The Commodore, Captain, and most of the officers also attended the opera, which in the building, interior decorations, and music, compares favorably with similar establishments in Europe. Mules go in droves of ten or twenty, each drove having a bell-mare which leads, and Father was told that when the droves meet, or when several are traveling the same way, and come where they are to take 225 MY VOYAGE IN THE different roads, each drove invariably follows its own bell-mare.
