We have nothing re- maining under his name but what there is reason to believe is spurious.
The church is denominated Back Church in consequence of its situa- tion behind a row of houses.
With respect to its history we have no other authentic document than that it was in the patronage of the prior and convent of Christ Church, Canterbury, in 1288, and that being decayed, it was re-built in the reign of Henry VI.
