A. S. San Diego, or elsewhere on shore as directed "by Com- mander Battle Fleet. When battleships are equipped to re- ceive planes, the sections of this squadron will he attached to and quartered on hoard battleships as assigned by Com- mander Battle Fleet; remainder of squadron will then be quartered on board Langley. As additional duty this squadron will carry on the development of the use of small single seat observation planes with destroyers; for this purpose two ex- perimental type planes, additional to the regular operating allowance, will be supplied early in the fiscal year.
