What reading level is Ned Fortesque Or Roughing It Through Life a Story Founded On Fact book?
To quickly assess the difficulty of the text, read a short excerpt:

There I noticed subsequently, while riding through the same jungle by daylight, the extreme beauty of the flowers, among which I observed the sweet scented jessamine, with its tiny white blos- som ; the creeping convolvulus, with its soft-blue bell-like bloom ; together with the magnificent passion-flower, of various shades of purple, and hundreds of other beauteous flowers of every hue, that grew in wild luxuriance in the ravines, and along the borders of the numberless streams which flowed ac...ross the path. As we were crossing one of those streams the bugle sounded the halt. It was soon ascertained that the artillery in passing a similar place ahead, had forced one of the wheels of No. 2 gun, over a projecting piece of rock, capsizing the gun with a loud crash, 66 NED FORTESCUE; into a nullah five feet in depth, and drawing the bullocks after it. The morning was so dark that it was found necessary to make a large fire to enable the fatigue party to see to extricate it. As the fire blazed and crackled up the sides of the ravine it caused much heat and illuminated all around, rousing from its lair an enormous tiger, who evidently not accustomed to that sort of thing, and not liking the aspect of affairs, uttered a fearful growl, and sprang towards the opposite bank.
