What reading level is Need to Know book?
To quickly assess the difficulty of the text, read a short excerpt:

“There’s nothing I can do with that. The computers are modified. I don’t have a port—”
“There’s one in the Restricted Access room.”
I stare at him. Have I ever mentioned the Restricted Access room? I certainly haven’t said anything about the computers in there. But he’s right, isn’t he? There’s a computer set aside for uploading data from the field. “Well, it doesn’t matter. That computer’s password-protected. I don’t have the credentials—”
“You don’t have to. The program runs on its own. It jus
...t needs to be plugged in.”
The magnitude of what he’s asking stuns me. “You’re asking me to load something onto the Agency’s computer network.”
“It’ll erase the evidence that you deleted the file.”
It’ll erase the pictures, too. All five of them. I look away. Then I say the words at the forefront of my mind, even though I know I shouldn’t. “You’re a Russian agent, asking me to load a program onto a CIA network.”
“I’m your husband, trying to keep you out of jail.”

Might be spoilers in here.
Is this for real? I mean I know it’s a novel but would anyone believe that a CIA agent, after all the vetting, could actually make every mistake in the CIA handbook?
If so, I’d say, “well no wonder America is in the mess she’s in. No wonder Russia is the winner in our elections. No wonder the “China” virus is destroying our country. No wonder Iran and North Korea are planing to start work on new nuclear weapons”.
And of course the agent is a woman, who else can be so manipulated but a woman. Her husband is a an actor and we are treated to all his pretend facial expressions, of which he has five on every page, concern, love, hurt, surprise, pain, exhilaration, honesty, confidence, fear, regret, frustration, horror, confusion, trust, hesitation, and on a and on and on. You might get as sick of that face as I did.
And then somehow she gets rewarded for being a traitor, a liar, a thief. She is so stupid. She is manipulated right back into her job, never guessing her director is a mole, her husband still the Russian agent he was from the beginning.

As much as Vivian was questioning her life, so was I. Who can you trust anymore. I gasped loudly twice while reading this book, at the beginning and end. Where is the boundary for love that someone has for its country. Path to hell is paved with good intentions. For me the trust was broken and should never be given back.

This book was very good. I liked the set up, the mystery, the suspense it brought. It was well written, I'm just not sure if it was meant for me. I enjoy reading really scary books and this book wasn't the best at providing that. If you like reading mysterious books then this book would be perfect for you.

it was about a girl wanting to become great and own her own business after she graduated college. After she graduated college she finally got her business right up the road from her house and at her business she started selling goods. Like cookies, pies, cakes, cupcakes, and superman ice cream.
