We take tlieir mi dels of commercial : nd manufacturing prosperity, and contrast them with those which are ever held up, pointed at us emblems of poverty ; we compare the frugal, ingenious, energetic, thrifty Yankee with the idle, improvident, careless and wasteful slave-holder.
We remember that the free population is equal — and appeal again to the census.
