The society is largely officered by women; the president, vice president, the 22 niembers oi the committee, as well as the heads of the numerous branches of the society, all are women.
LOCAL COMMITTEES.
The society now has eight branches, four in the north island and four in the south island. Local committees, with a membership of 15 or 20, have been organized in every township where a body of earnest women could be interested.
