Cap'n yelled, and I dodged as the carcass, belt, tree and all, went slipping over the edge, struck about a hundred feet below and went, rolling, plunging, masses of flying rock with it, down nearly a mile below, and when we got to it at sunset, I doubt if there was a whole bone in its body.
