Such cannot doubt the love of our Heavenly Father, or the grace of our Lord Jesus toward the vilest of sinners, and would be ashamed to preach or to avow any other sentiment. " It has been abundantly demonstrated that the Gospel can reach the heart and conscience of the sinner, in the most degraded and benighted condition, and that the idea once entertained that such must first be civilized and then Christianized, is just reversing the true order of things.
