“Maw’s working on putting out the food back there,” Luke said, motioning to where the women were laying out a delicious feast. “Said you might want to see her.”
“Might? I think it’s more than ‘might.’ ”
“She said that, not me.”
“Lead the way. How’s everyone?”
“Doing fine.
