Before the completion of the agreement to be signed the applicant or importer must declare himself willing to give a Guarantee. By this is understood a surety for the strict fulfilment of the contract, consisting of either a bank guarantee or a deposit of some security as a pledge of good faith.
The importer receives the forms for this purpose together with the contract and the bank concerned must see to the proper filling up of the fo...rm. Date and number of the contract must be correctly given; the amount and the name of the bank must agree with that on the con- tract while the signatories' must place above the signature the words "available as guarantee for (here follows the amount in letters)".
This guarantee must be sent to Dept. 13. (Guarantees) Parkstraat 27, The Hague.
The amount of the guarantee is fixed in relation to 29 the goods required. The N.O.T. reserves a right to raise the amount of the guarantee for a new or renewed con- tract without previous warning.
