XII. 32— XIII 179 festival, vv. 31, 32^*, might be taken to refer only to the sanctuary at Dan, and so give rise to this explanatory insertion. Notice the awkwardness of iW^ p asyndetos, and ^'^ti'^'P!\ perf.
