But it is nowhere mentioned in the Bible that a man can prohibit another person by means of a vow from deriving any benefit from anything that belongs to the former. Yet already in early times the tradition developed to the effect that a Jew could declare all his belongings to be Qorban in regard to one or many particular persons.
