The liver was large and turgid, and of a very livid colour. On dividing it, great quantities of black blood were poured out. The gall bladder was moderately full of yellowish bile. The external and internal coats of the stomach had a perfectly healt...hy appearance. Its contents were a dark coloured fluid of vinous smell, similar to that of the substances which had been taken before death. The large intestines contained flatus without any offensive smell, and a considerable quantity of well digested feces. The spleen and pancreas had nothing remarkable.
