Beverly Brown, who was assigned to Goldsboro at the last Annual Con- ference, hastened to his work and got hold of the situation and began organizing the work and this has been one o...f the most fruitful years that Goldsboro has experienced in many years. The church has taken on new life and he has increased the membership by thirty-three members, and everything else in pro- portion. In June he was joined in the work by Mrs. Brown and they are still on their honeymoon and she has been quite an asset to the work. These two churches are handicapped for the lack of a parsonage.
Methodism has no more important work anywhere than the work in Char- lotte. We must plan a program of expansion to take care of the large group of our people who are coming into the city and making their way into some other church.
