44 NORTH CAROLINA ANNUAL CONFERENCE (4) That we endorse the action taken by the joint meet- ing of the Council of Bishops and the General Commission on World Service and Finance, Chicago, 111., August 28, 1942, rec- ommending (a) That there shall be a special period of prayer and self-sacrifice throughout the Church, to be known as the ''Week of Dedication" February 28 to March 7, and that on Sunday, March 7, there shall be taken a special free-will offer- ing for designated emergency causes an...d that in connection with this offering no quota, direct or indirect, shall be given to the Church. (b) That this week be devoted to the most intensive spiritual cultivation of the official groups and of the indivi- dual members of the Churches, and that suitable guidance be given to the pastors in preparation for their leadership in this program. Annual Conference Interests In addition to the World Service and General Administra- tion Fund, the Commission on World Service and Finance recommends to the Annual Conference for action and de- termination : (1) An administrative budget of seven hundred dollars ($700.00) apportioned as follows: (a) Treasurer's expense: An amount equal to 2 per cent (not to exceed $300.00) of all funds collected.
