But perhaps the most instructive sight was to see the old Clerk grapple a rebellious Moorman, or a defiant, unbelieving Chetty, refusing to take over an invoice of willow-pattern tea-pots, on account of a chip in one of the spouts, or a parcel of grey domestics, by reason of a little rustiness of the iron hoops outside the bales.
