In many cases they were of the same fabric as in furniture covers ; thus at one time Mrs. Delany describes her drawing-room as having the curtains and chairs of crimson mohair. Sometimes the curtains drew across the windows by means of rings running on an iron rod, but more frequently they seem to have been looped up to each side of the top of the window-frame when not in use.
