I completely ignored how hot he was when he was angry, though it was extremely difficult. I focused on him, trying to find that connection. When it locked into place, I raised my hand. “Stop.”
Amazingly enough, he did. Lex stared at me in shock. “How did you…”
Donna realized something was up and began to move toward us. I didn’t know if it would work, but I had to try.
