No person shall take or use the water from any public cistern, in the said city, except in case of fire, and for the pur- pose of extinguishing the same, under the penalty of five dollars for each offence.
[11] SEC. 1 1 . That if any person or persons shall wilfully break the glass of any lamp, or take down or carry away any lamp already hung or fixed, or hereafter to be hung or fixed, in any of the streets of the said city of Brooklyn, or extinguish the lights therein, or in- jure any of the f
...ixtures of said lamps, or be aiding or abetting in the same, he, she, or they, shall forfeit and pay the sum of twenty-five dollars for every offence.
[12] SEC. 12. That if any person or persons shall tie, hitch, or make fast any horse, mule, ass, ox, bull, cow, or other animal, to any lamp post or public pump, in said city, he, she, or they, shall forfeit and pay the sum of five dollars for every such offence.
[13] SEC. 13. That if any person shall drive any cart, wagon, carriage, or other vehicle, against any lamp post or public pump, or cut, hew, break, pull, or throw down any lamp post, in the streets of said city, he, she, or they, shall forfeit and pay the sum of ten dol- lars for every offence.
