Bird heads are engraved upon many objects found throughout America, which, in some cases, show a remarkable similarity to the head of this starry form, and should, undoubtedly, be identified with it. This is especially true in respect to THOSE ENGRAVED UPON THE GORGET symbols, and they are invariably drawn with the mouth open.
